Everybody got value for change: the Fakka case study in Egypt

You cannot be insensitive by the innovation coming from emerging countries (seen on Warc 100). It really seems that the less they got, the more they find resources to come up with new tricks.

Take this tactic from Vodafone in Egypt, where the majority of people has low income.

Where everybody barter rather than pay, they launched pre-paid phone card by creating a currency barterable between shopkeepers and customers.

Instant success, this is  fakka.

Qu'en penses-tu?
